This inaugural Commisioner Conference offers a unique opportunity for YOU as commissioners to:

  • Engage in fellowship and share ideas with fellow Commissioners
  • Enhance your knowledge in your role as a Commissioner
  • Gain a better understanding of the state of our Council and our priorities
  • Learn about the changes to our 2019 Re-charter process and the critical role our Commissioner Corps will play in this process
  • Learn about the different opportunities to develop as a Commissioner through the College of Commissioner Sciences program
  • Be a part of the roll-out of the NEW MAC Commissioner Service Award!

All Commissioners are encouraged to complete your online basic Commissioner training courses before you attend. If you have completed the online requirements before you attend, then you will complete ALL of the classroom requirements necessary for the Bachelor of Commissioner Sciences program at the Conference.

This event is FREE, but you MUST pre-register by Wednesday, August 8, in order to attend.

The Mobile Area Council, Boy Scouts of America provides service to over 3,000 youth in the Baldwin, Clarke, Mobile and Washington Counties of Southwest Alabama. The Council spans from the waters of the Gulf of Mexico to the pine forests of Clarke County. The Council maintains and operates the Maubila Scout Reservation (Camp Maubila) in Clarke County. The Council Service Center is located in Mobile, Alabama with helpful professional and support staff. A National Scout Shop can be found in the Service Center building.
